like today during school i was surphing the forums then all of a sudden my mouse comes to life and closes down explorer, and i look at what the computer is running and apparently the TEACHER installed some program that lets him see what we're doing and can control our computer, it wasn't a schoolwide thing, it was the teacher.

isn't that against some privacy law or something, i mean he could frame us by making our computer go to innappropriate sites or something,

interesting thing

nope, as long as the computers are connected to the office (read: school) network, you are required to have it accessible to viewing by admins (read: teachers) good thing I'm always on last month's equipment cost review .
riiight...

heres the thing, they are running on windows XP which is incompatible with the school network, so the admins cant them access unless they physically go to the lab

if they are like most schools port 32 (telnet port) is open just use that to make their computer do what you want. (insert evil grin here).

P.S I love being a programmer

I'm not an expert on this, but I'm pretty sure XP has a feature called "Remote Desktop" that does this.

if it's an actual program, ie: has a symbol in the system tray, a quick, easy fix is to download this: http://www.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessExplorer9x.zip (an advanced version of the windows task manager) and kill the process tree

EDIT: it is also great for disabling game protection (programs to detect game hacking) allowing the use of Cheat engine (None of this works for guild wars)
its also great for getting sued over for invasion of privacy and violation of the computer fraud and abuse act if i'm not mistaken

nofairzero it isnt that simple, because he logs each student on at the beginning of class and will notice if one the students just disappears from the list of active students
